Dog Licenses
Dog licenses can be purchased at Township Hall through the end of May each year. After May 31st, all dog licenses must be purchased from Oakland County Animal Control at 1200 N Telegraph Rd. Building #42E.  Their number is (248) 858-1090.

The State of Michigan requires ALL dogs over 4 months be current with a rabies vaccine and have a valid Michigan dog license. Failure to comply may result in a misdemeanor ticket. Must present a current rabies certificate signed by a veterinarian at time of purchase. We have one or three year dog licenses available for purchase. 
**You are only eligible for a three year license if your rabies vaccine expires in 2023 or later. 

A license must be purchased within 30 days of:

  • Purchasing or acquiring a new dog
  • A puppy turning 4 months of age
  • Becoming a Michigan resident
  • The expiration date of the prior license. Licenses expire on December 31st of each year.

Fees (Cash or Check only): Prices starting January 1st and are good through June 1st.

  • Senior Citizen* $ 9.75
  • Male/Female $ 18.00
  • Senior Citizen* $ 16.50
  • 3 year Spayed /Neutered $ 28.50
  • 3 year Male/Female $ 51.00
  • After June 1st all licenses are $ 33.00.

*Senior Citizen price for dog owners 65 years of age or older (proof of age required)

Oakland County Vehicle Permits

The Treasurer's Office is now selling 2021 Oakland County Parks annual vehicle permits starting November 9, 2020.  This will allow residents the use of Orion Oaks-Bark Park. The Parks are great fun for the whole family, including our family dogs. You may also purchase a combination Parks Perks Pass which includes Huron-Clinton Metroparks.

Purchase one resident/non resident permit at regular price and receive a discount on an additional resident permit to be used on vehicles in the same household.  All permits must be purchased in the same transaction. This offer is available at in-person purchase locations only.

*As part of the Oakland County Parks Millage Initiative, off- site locations will not be selling Oakland County Resident- Senior, Military, Veteran, or Adaptive passes as those patrons are eligible for a complimentary pass. For more information on this, click here

Annual Vehicle Permit allows access to eight Oakland County Parks, plus free parking for fireworks displays at Addison Oaks and Groveland Oaks county parks, as well as free parking/entry to Oakland County Fair on County Parks and Recreation Day.  Permits are valid through Dec. 31 of the year printed on the permit.
